The fan-favorite pairing known as Tiva will return to the small screen — on streaming this time.

NCIS fans, take note: Tiva is back.

Paramount+ announced Wednesday that a new NCIS spinoff series starring Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly will begin production this year. The duo played fan favorites Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo on the original crime procedural, which is currently airing its 21st season on CBS.

After years of romantic tension with Tony, Ziva resigned from her post at NCIS during season 10 but appeared in the first two episodes of season 11. De Pablo left the series after that, and her character was seemingly killed in a bombing in Israel, as revealed in season 13 — but not before she gave birth to a daughter, Tali, who was fathered by Tony. Weatherly's character left the series after season 13 to care for Tali. However, Ziva was revealed to have survived the explosion in season 16, and briefly reappeared in that season's finale and four eps of season 17.

Per a description of the untitled new series, "Tony and Ziva have been raising their daughter, Tali, together. When Tony's security company is attacked, they must go on the run across Europe, try to figure out who is after them and maybe even learn to trust each other again so that they can finally have their unconventional happily ever after."

Weatherly and de Pablo, who will also serve as executive producers alongside showrunner John McNamara, said in a statement, "We've been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready. The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears and laughter. We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the 'TIVA' movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!"

De Pablo's screen roles since departing NCIS include the film The 33 and the CBS miniseries The Dovekeepers.

Weatherly is also known for playing the title role on the CBS courtroom drama Bull, which ran from 2016 to 2022. The show was marked by controversy in 2018 when news broke that costar Eliza Dushku had accused Weatherly of sexual harassment on set before being written off the show, and later reached a confidential settlement with the network that paid her $9.5 million.

Weatherly apologized for making jokes that were "not funny and not appropriate," and the show was subsequently renewed, a decision CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl defended by saying Weatherly "admitted to that mistake."

CBS recently announced that the NCIS-verse will also be expanding backward with the a spinoff about young GibbsMark Harmon, who played Gibbs on the main series, is on board to narrate the show.
