NBC, the most aggressive of summer programmers, has firmed up its off-months lineup - slotting the arrivals for Jennifer Lopez's World of Dance, Little Big Shots spinoff Forever Young and a slew of others.
Summer programming starts early, May 8, with a special Monday premiere for World of Dance after The Voice. It will air there until May 30, at which point it shifts to Tuesday so it can air after the Big Four's No. 1 show of the summer - America's Got Talent. It marks the show's second season with Simon Cowell on the judging panel and the first with Tyra Banks. The television personality recently joined the series after the departure of Nick Cannon.
Also on deck is Little Big Shots: Forever Young. It will air on Wednesdays, opening the night starting July 21. Midseason entry The Wall joins the following night, also airing at 8 p.m. Elsewhere, American Ninja Warrior occupies Mondays starting June 12, coupled with Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge. And standby Hollywood Game Night arrives later, returning Aug. 7.
On the scripted front, The Carmichael Show's long-awaited return arrives May 31, airing Wednesdays at 9 p.m., before freshman entry Marlon occupies the space later in the summer - Aug. 16, to be exact. Drama Night Shift is back on June 22, with thriller Midnight, Texas starting July 25.
The previously announced Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update will help usher in the broadcast season starting Aug. 10.
