NBC’s Shows Unite on Twitter to Celebrate Kelly Clarkson’s New Talk Show

Kelly Clarkson’s new show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” premiered Monday on NBC, and the network’s other shows welcomed it to the lineup on Twitter.

The flagship @NBC Twitter account kicked things off with a gif from the show “Friends” and a line from Clarkson’s hit, “Since U Been Gone”:

From there, “The Office”, “World Of Dance”, “Manifest” and numerous others took up the mantle, threading the subsequent lyrics to the song under @NBC’s original tweet, line by line and gif by gif.

“This Is Us”, “Parks and Recreation” and all the favorite NBC shows joined in, similar to what Disney brands did in August when the individual Twitter accounts of various Disney shows jumped into a thread on “moving day” to announce they were all officially heading to Disney+.

NBC’s flagship account quote-tweeted their own initial tweet, writing, “Does this thread give away how excited we are for the @KellyClarksonTV premiere today?! Good luck, @kellyclarkson!”

Clarkson’s show premiere has not been without a few ups and downs. Kevin Hart was set to be the surprise first guest on her show. That is, until he was in a serious car wreck in Calabasas in the early morning hours of a Sunday earlier this month, suffering back injuries. Dwayne Johnson actually left his honeymoon to fill in for his “Jumanji” co-star as the show’s first guest instead.
