COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — NBC has announced its 2024-25 season with a fall schedule featuring three new series and the return of popular franchises and breakout hits.

In a news release, the entertainment division revealed a new drama and two new comedies will premiere this autumn. Returning series will be “The Voice,” all three “Chicago” dramas, “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: SVU,” along with the second seasons of “Found” and “The Irrational” and a third season of “Lopez vs. Lopez.”

NBC’s new drama “Brilliant Minds,” is headlined by star Zachary Quinto. Based on actual events, it tells the story of neurologist Oliver Wolf and “his team of interns.” The show promises to highlight the exploration of the human mind along with themes of navigating personal relationships and mental health.

McEntire, who spent the early aughts on the eponymous “Reba,” is returning to the half-hour comedy format with “Happy’s Place.” In this incarnation, the versatile star will play Bobbie who “inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister she never knew she had.”

New midseason shows will include an unscripted nature series narrated by Tom Hanks called “The Americas,” the adventure competition series, “Destination X,” and a procedural crime drama “The Hunting Party.”
