NBA YoungBoy Talks Music Business, Calls It “A Demonic Industry”

NBA YoungBoy has opened up about the music business and alleges that the industry is “demonic.”
During a conversation with Complex, the Baton Rouge rapper spoke about music’s inner workings. Regardless of its wicked nature, he admitted that he consciously decided to be a part of its questionable ways.
“I learned it’s a demonic industry that I chose to be a part of. So it’s like, I accept it. I run with it. But don’t be a dummy at the same time,” he expressed from his Salt Lake City home. “You gotta understand, they’re using me as entertainment and this sh*t becomes self-destruction too. ‘Cause I ain’t an entertainer. You know, some sh*t can’t be spoken on. Why? Man, ’cause that sh*t, it’s to be continued.”
Before the outlet could ask more questions about his views, NBA YoungBoy abruptly cut off the publication. “Man, you’re talking too much,” he asserted as he got up and walked away.
NBA YoungBoy was ordered to stay in his Salt Lake City home in October 2021 after catching a weapons charge. The Louisiana court ordered that he stay at the isolated home with limited visits approved by the judge.
As for YoungBoy’s other thoughts on music, he previously spoke of the negative impact his art has on his fans. The Louisiana rapper talked about his guilty conscience when making aggressive music and “how many lives” he’s responsible for.
“I was flooded with millions of dollars since the time I was 16, all the way to this point in my life,” he said during a Billboard cover story interview. “I woke up one morning and was like, ‘Damn, they got me. Look at the sh*t I done spoke about. Look at the sh*t I put in these people ears.’ Man, I feel very wrong about a lot of things. How many lives I actually am responsible for when it comes to my music?”
“How many kids and people have got in a car or put this sh*t in their ears and actually went and hurt someone? And now, I’m sitting back like, damn, I can’t do it all in one day. But I promise to clean whatever I can clean. But it’s gon’ take time.”
