“Nate invests his time, energy and love into everything he touches,” the Azoffs said in a statement. “We can’t believe how lucky we are to be bringing him into the Giant family. Please hurry up and send this release out before he changes his mind.”

Albert was just 13 when he co-founded the Boston-based ska-punk band The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. He played lead guitar for the group, including on its 1997 No. 1 Modern Rock track “The Impression That I Get.” He went on to become an A&R executive at Capitol Records and Republic Records where he signed The Weeknd and Maggie Rogers, whose first album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2019.

Albert joins the Giant music team which includes co-founder Shawn Holiday, Matt LaMotte, and Charles Hamilton, among others.

“I am thrilled to help build a new label from an artist’s and manager’s perspective in 2024,” the exec said. “The goal is not just to create another option for the creative community, but to create a place for the creative community to call home.”
