15 years ago, celebrated actress Natasha Richardson left the world too soon. And, in addition to surviving her husband Liam Nesson, Richardson also said goodbye to her kids, Micheál Richardson, 28, and Daniel Neeson, 27. Now, on the 15th anniversary of her death, her son is opening up about her legacy.

“15 years since you’ve left this plane onto forever more,” Daniel wrote on Instagram alongside a black and white portrait of the late actress. “I look forward to re-uniting one day but for now I take solace in knowing you’re beside me every step of the way.”

“Hopefully, I’m making you proud,” he continued. “I think you would definitely be proud of my margarita skills. She was the OG margarita mama! As a kid, I used to ask her for a sip of hers, and she would gently say not till you’re older. Little did she know I would one day start my own tequila brand and have way too many margaritas at my fingertips.” Daniel co-founded his own tequila brand, De-Nada Tequila, in 2021.

“My aunt, @joelyrichardsonsinsta who always brightens my day, said to me this week that we sometimes forget that we’re on an ever-spinning planet,” he continued. “Change is inevitable, and we must embrace it with open arms. If you’re a believer or not in quantum physics, the past, future and present coexist. We’re all interconnected here and over there through love. The greatest life force. choose it above all else.” What a touching tribute.

Fellow actress Joely Richardson also shared a tribute to her late sister. “My sister Natasha with what’s-not-to-love Ethan Hawke,” The Gentlemen star wrote on Instagram alongside her sister and Hawke back in the day. “I was lucky enough to play his wife in Ivanov off-Broadway – renaissance man.”

“I chose this picture as it’s the fun mischievous side of Tash,” she continued of her older sister. “Richard Eyre said at her memorial ‘It’s so hard to understand why she’s suddenly gone because she was the most Alive person I’d ever met.'”

“Tash was a great celebrator of other people’s achievements- got so excited and happy for them- had a mini Oscar made for Ethan when he got nominated,” she remembered. “We went to see Moulin Rouge ( Baz Luhrmann film) at the Ziegfeld in NY. When we came out she said to me ‘If I had to go I’d like it to be like that- at my peak.’ Well, Tash, you did, 15 years ago today – loved to the hilt ♥️.”

Lastly, Andy Cohen, who was a close friend of the late Parent Trap star before her tragic death in 2009, also showed his love for Natasha. “Fifteen years ago today, heaven got a new angel,” the TV personality wrote on Instagram alongside a series of photos. “Natasha was ‘Perfectly Marvelous’… and left a profound impact on her friends, and on millions who she touched as an artist.”

“I’m trying to put into words the effect she had on my personal trajectory and one way I’m thinking is that she unlocked a window into the world that I’d never considered,” Cohen continued. “She not only taught me about “the good life” in all senses of the word (art, travel, food, wine, fashion), but beyond that she was dogmatic about the importance of community, shared experience, kindness, manners, laughter and love – all the truly important things in life.”

“I think there was a part of me during those magical years where she was the ringleader for the best things in life that knew that this lightning in a bottle couldn’t last forever,” he stated. “I sure appreciated that time then, and it lives inside me forever… If you can, raise a glass today to the great Natasha Richardson and let her know we all miss her down here. ♥️ 😇”

With so many touching tributes to her on this special day, we know Natasha’s legacy lives on. Our hearts are with her friends and family at this time.
