The Fantastic Four cast continues to grow, with Deadline reporting that Natasha Lyonne has joined the star-studded cast of the highly anticipated Marvel Studios movie.

The Emmy-nominated actress’ role is unknown as of now, but she’ll join a cast that has quickly rounded out over the past weeks. Last week, it was reported that Ralph Ineson had joined the project as the iconic villain Galactus.

John Malkovich, Paul Walter Hauser, and Julia Garner have all been cast in the film as well, in mostly mysterious roles (outside of Garner, who will play Shalla-Bar, a variation of the Silver Surfer).

Lyonne broke out in Hollywood during the 1990s, where she appeared in films like But I’m a Cheerleader, American Pie, and more. She rose to superstardom during her time on the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black. Most recently, she starred in Rian Johnson’s Peacock series Poker Face, a role in which she was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.

What do we know about The Fantastic Four?

Garner will join a cast that has already found its main cast of heroes. Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, while Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn has the role of Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and The Bear’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach has the part of Ben Grimm/The Thing.

Fantastic Four will be directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision) from a screenplay by Josh Friedman, who was brought in to re-write the script originally written by Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. As a project in Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released on July 25, 2025.

The Fantastic Four comic debuted in 1961. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, it was the first superhero team title produced by Marvel Comics and popularized famous characters like Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Doctor Doom.
