Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied Spotted for the First Time Together in a 'Somber' Outing After Cheating Allegations Surfaced

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied have done their best to keep a low profile in the wake of their reported separation, but they were spotted together — and it looked like a tough reunion. The 46-year-old dancer allegedly cheated on his Oscar-winning wife, so that trust can be hard to rebuild.
The estranged duo were dressed casually as they walked side by side with rather “somber” looks on their faces. (See the photos at the Daily Mail.) They both wore sunglasses as they accompanied their two kids, Aleph, 12, and Amalia, 6, to school. While they both left the same residence that day, it’s unclear if their separation also includes different homes now. The other noticeable accessory missing from their ensembles was their wedding rings.

The affair was originally reported by French media outlet, Voici, which claimed that Millepied had a fling with 25-year-old climate activist, Camille Étienne. Even though it was reportedly “short-lived,” the damage was done as Portman tried “to forgive him and keep their family together,” according to a People source. While Us Weekly was reporting the couple’s separation, other insiders were saying Portman was rather confused about her mixed emotions and making the right decision for her family.
“[Natalie] hates that [Benjamin’s] infidelity has made her feel powerless,” a Daily Mail source revealed. “She doesn’t know if she can regain her power by staying with him or leaving him. It is really a struggle to have to continue to deal with it.” Portman and Millepied might be sticking it out in the long run because there is still a lot of love between them — reconciliation is still on the table.

“They are really taking it day by day because deep down they are really in love, and they are trying to figure out what has caused the distance between them,’ they summed up. “She wants to stay with him, and he really wants to be with her. They both know that breaking up and staying together forever are still on the table and only time will tell what direction they will actually take.” Let’s hope Portman feels no pressure to make a decision right away, these issues take time to sort out.
