Natalia Grace’s adoptive mother Cynthia Mans opened up for the first time following the shocking revelations in the second-season finale of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace.

In a recent interview with The U.S. Sun, Cynthia shared that their family are actively working through their issues after claiming to see concerning behavior from their daughter.

“We are absolutely perfect. No, she doesn’t live with us but we are fine,” she told the outlet, adding that Natalia is currently “living with friends,” but they’re still in regular contact following their fallout revealed in the bombshell finale of ID’s docuseries.

Though Cynthia admitted that it has been “rough” since the show aired, she said that “with God, we gonna make it. I am in prayer.”

The show was a follow-up to the 2023 docuseries, which centered on Natalia’s first adoptive parents, Kristine and Michael Barnett, and their claims that the Ukrainian orphan, who had been diagnosed with a rare dwarfism condition, was actually an adult and terrorized their family. (It was revealed this season through a DNA test that Natalia is about 22 years old, meaning she was about 9 when she moved in with the Barnetts.)

Though Natalia’s new adoptive parents, Bishop Antwon Mans and his wife, Cynthia, took her in and supported her following the scandal, in the season finale of The Curious Case of Natalia Grace: Natalia Speaks, they claimed that she is now wreaking havoc on their lives.

Six months after adopting Natalia and just weeks before the second season premiered, the Mans contacted the show’s producers, with Cynthia claiming their daughter “is stabbing her family in the back over a complete lie.”

“Something ain’t right with Natalia,” Antwon can be heard saying in an audio clip in the final episode. “This girl is tweakin’. I feel like she’s the enemy of the house. And she said to us we have held her hostage.”

He later added, “We’re done. We’re done with her.”

Following the season finale, Natalia also shared on social media that she is safe, writing, “I am okay and doing well and thank you all for your support and prayers.”
