‘Nashville’ Midseason Trailer: First Look At The Final Episodes

The end of the road is near for Nashville. CMT has released a midseason trailer ahead of the hit country music drama’s final episodes, which begin airing next month.

In the clip we see Deacon (Charles Esten) in a familiar spot, struggling with his unresolved past. Estranged from his new relationship with Jessie (Kaitlin Doubleday), he’s left to deal with an old one – his father. Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) goes to war with Darius (Josh Stamberg), and will face a fight to save her career and her relationship with Avery (Jonathan Jackson). Meanwhile, Daphne (Maisy Stella) pursues her own musical career under the guidance of Deacon’s biggest enemy, Brad Maitland (Jeffrey Nordling), the ultimate manipulator.

It’s been quite a journey for Nashville since it premiered on ABC in 2012. CMT saved the series following its sudden cancellation by ABC in May 2016, picking it up for its final two seasons. Nashville follows country stars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere), Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) and the Highway 65 family as they strive to keep Rayna Jaymes’ dream alive and pursue their music while juggling relationships, family and the ever-changing industry. Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Rachel Bilson and Lennon Stella also star. Connie Britton played Jaymes for the series’ first four-plus seasons.

The final eight episodes will air on CMT beginning June 7 at 9/8c.
