NASA moves up rollout of Artemis I rocket ahead of planned lunar launch

NASA just announced a new date for the Artemis I rollout on Florida’s Space Coast.

The Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft are now scheduled for testing Tuesday, instead of their original date on Thursday.

NASA plans to hold news conferences for the next three days to give the media a detailed look at the lunar, solar and radiation experiments that will hitch a ride into space on the mission.

If everything goes smoothly, the move to the launch pad for SLS and Orion spacecraft will happen this week.

The launch of the Artemis I mission is expected no earlier than Aug. 29.
