Nas has announced he will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his classic debut, Illmatic, with a slate of orchestra shows in Las Vegas during Labor Day weekend.
The Queensbridge rapper will be accompanied by the Las Vegas Philharmonic on August 29th, August 31st, and September 1st at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. Each symphony show will pull from his lengthy discography.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 24th at 10:00 a.m. PDT via Ticketmaster.

This summer, Nas will make appearances at Roots Picnic and Tribeca Festival (where he will moderate a 50th anniversary screening of Mean Streets with Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro), ahead of a string of shows in North America and the UK/Europe. Following the Vegas dates, he will head back across the Atlantic.
Nas has hardly rested on his laurels in recent years. Last year, he completed his latest trilogy with producer Hit-Boy by dropping Magic 2 and Magic 3 just two months apart. More recently, he reunited with DJ Premier for “Define My Name.”
