Naomi Watts Jumps into Pool Fully Clothed in Hilarious Clip: 'When You Feel a Hot Flash Coming On'

The 'Goodnight Mommy' actress took a plunge for all to see on Instagram this week

Just like she did with her breakthrough role in 2001's Mulholland Drive, Naomi Watts made quite the splash this week.

The actress, 54, appeared in a funny clip posted to the official account for Stripes — her menopause wellness brand — where she jumps right into a pool fully clothed.

"When you feel a hot flash coming on," the video reads, before Watts books it into the water.

Wearing an orange sundress and black sunglasses, Watts made the leap into the pool while Florence and the Machine's "Dog Days Are Over" played in the background. As she ran toward the pool, she had something of a wardrobe malfunction, but not enough to get in her way.

After she leaves the water soaking wet, Watts then laughs and holds up her dress with the caption, "You gotta do what you gotta do" pasted over the clip.

"What’s the craziest way you’ve ever cooled off during a hot flash," the Instagram caption read.

Watts also recently took the dive into marriage, as she and fellow actor Billy Crudup wed in New York City in June, after being first romantically linked in 2017.

During a wellness event titled "Unlocking Intimacy: Navigating Passion in Midlife" this month, the actress opened up about her and Crudup's "pretty great sex life," as she explained that she feels sex has gotten better since she reached menopause.

“I personally think sex becomes more pleasurable when you take out the fear of making babies,” she said, per the Daily Mail. "What is that expression? ‘Closed for business, open for pleasure.’"

"It feels more, 'I'm going to do this for myself.' You're more confident with yourself, you've had experience, you're wiser, you're not going to be all like, 'Oh I want to turn the lights down,' " Watts then added.

The actress added that now that she's dealt with the hot flashes, mood swings and overall lead-up to menopause, things are looking up sexually. "Like whatever it is you're going through, if you can talk to your partner, if you can be honest and have a really authentic conversation and take away the awkwardness, and most of the time if they're good people, they will be empathetic," she said, per the Daily Mail.

"And that's hot — that's really hot when you can be honest and the conversation lands really well to the point where, 'Yeah, we got through the awkwardness and now like, let's kick off some fun.'"

Back in June, Watts confirmed in an Instagram post that she and Crudup got married, as she shared an image of herself wearing a white wedding dress next to her man. "Hitched! 🕊️🪢♥️,"  she captioned the pic.

After that, she shared a few more behind-the-scenes images to her Instagram, and even revealed that her wedding flowers came straight from the deli. Under one post, Bravo host Andy Cohencommented that he felt "partially responsible for this," seemingly implying that he had a hand in setting up the wedding.

"Yes, you can take a decent to large portion of the credit," Watts responded, alongside some laughing emojis.

Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Coolidge, Kerry Washington and others also shared messages of support with the couple on social media, while Liev Shreiber, with whom she shares two children, wrote "Congratulations!!! Gorgeous!!!"
