Naomi Osaka is getting real about motherhood.

In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE from the talk series, “Can’t Wait to Hear from You," the four-time Grand Slam singles champion, 26, sits down with U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek H. Murthy to talk about the highs and lows of mom life since welcoming daughter Shai in July.

"I would say the joys, there's so many. Just seeing her face and she's kind of puffy," she laughed. "She's in her puffy phase and I just love to poke her cheeks. I would say there's so many joys that I didn't even know was a joy, putting little outfits on her and things like that, it really makes my day."

Osaka also admitted there were some "stresses that I also didn't know about" for her as an "overthinker."

"I wonder if I'm going to be a good enough mom and things like that. Everything feels really new. I think that's part of being human is I don't know what's going to happen. But it's life, and if everything was the same, it wouldn't be exciting. But worrying about if I'm going to be a good enough mom is my top stress. I know that isn't something I can really control. I can only go day-by-day."

Osaka also shares her hopes for her daughter as she grows up, noting, "I want her to be a kind person, someone that radiates positivity and joy,"

"I want her growing up knowing she's loved and appreciated and I think that that's all that I can do. Feeling the love from my parents as a kid was something that was important," she shared. "I know how much my mom loves me and my dad, so it's something that no one can take away and it's something that I still appreciate to this day."

The two also talked about finding community as new parents during a time that can feel very "isolating."

"I definitely felt very lonely during pregnancy a little bit and the stage when she first got back from the hospital," she said, saying she gets emotional support from her friends and family.

"Just learning through these relationships and learning how to communicate, I think my friends have helped me out a lot with that."

The full episode of the talk series will be available on Hana Kuma’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 12:00 p.m. PT, in honor of World Mental Health Month. The episode is presented by Hana Kuma, Naomi’s Emmy Award-nominated media company, in partnership with Modern Health.
