Naomi Campbell Unveils ‘Naomi: In Fashion’ Exhibition

Naomi Campbell will headline the next exhibition at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum as a celebration of her life and career.
Naomi: In Fashion, sponsored by BOSS, will spotlight her four-decade career as one of the world’s most famous supermodels. The mother of two said she was “honoured to be asked by the V&A to share my life in clothes with the world.”
Sonnet Stanfill, the senior curator of fashion at the V&A, added, “Naomi Campbell’s extraordinary career intersects with the best of high fashion. She is recognised worldwide as a supermodel, activist, philanthropist, and creative collaborator, making her one of the most prolific and influential figures in contemporary culture. We’re delighted to be working with Naomi Campbell on this project and to celebrate her career with our audiences.”
According to the museum, Naomi: In Fashion will include over 100 looks and accessories that “draw upon Campbell’s own extensive wardrobe of haute couture and ready-to-wear ensembles from key moments in her career, along with loans from designer archives and objects from the V&A’s collections.” This includes her 1989 Thierry Mugler car-inspired corset, her pink Valentino look that she wore at the 2019 Met Gala and that infamous pair of Vivienne Westwood platform shoes from Campbell’s notorious 1993 catwalk fall.
Not only will Campbell’s fashion be on display, but the exhibit will also highlight her activism and mentorship through her global initiative Emerge, which she founded last year. She will also showcase her relationship with designer Azzedine Alaïa and how she inspired his work, her time in New York City as a budding 17-year-old model, the moment in time where she served court-ordered community service, her kinship with world-renowned photographers, her early collaboration with select fashion houses, and several other career-defining moments.
Naomi: In Fashion opens on June 22 and runs through April 6, 2025. Tickets are now available.
