As fears over the spread of the coronavirus continue to grow, Naomi Campbell is doing her best to ensure she stays safe.
The 49-year-old British supermodel has shared her precautionary measures, including wearing a full hazmat suit, goggles, face mask and a pair of purple surgical gloves at the airport.
Campbell is used to travelling in style, but her health now appears to be taking precedence over looking stylish.
“Safety First NEXT LEVEL,” the model captioned a trio of photos she shared on Instagram.
The first image shows Campbell at Los Angeles International Airport, revealing her full outfit, which she teamed with black and white trainers and a white suitcase.
The second picture features Campbell sitting in her seat on the plane with a brown cape draped over her shoulders to keep her warm during the flight.
A third shows her leaving the airport as she makes a telephone call while holding a grey blanket.
Campbell also promised to upload a video to her YouTube channel “soon”.
Since she shared her travel precautions, which received more almost 300K likes, many fans have expressed their appreciation for her stay-safe efforts.
Model and activist Munroe Bergdorf described the supermodel as the “Queen of hygienic travel”, while several fans commented on how Campbell managed to turn the hamza suit and goggles into a runway moment.
This isn’t the first time the supermodel has shared her uncompromising approach to in-flight hygiene.
In the clip she shared the very particular cleaning routine she carries out every time she takes a flight.
The video shows her using antiseptic wipes to clean her seat and the entire surrounding area before she sits down.
Campbell then covers the seat with her own personal blanket and puts on a medical mask to cover her nose and mouth to protect her from breathing in germs.
“When I get on a plane... I clean everything you touch, anything you can possibly touch. All this stuff, anything you put your hands on,” she says in the clip.
“This is what I do on every plane I get on, I do not care what people think of me – it’s my health and it makes me feel better.”
Last year the self-confessed germophobe also shared a pic to social media of her wearing a face mask and white surgical gloves while holding up some Dettol cleaning wipes.
And Campbell isn’t the only celebrity to be taking extra care while travelling amid the coronavirus outbreak.
“Travel 2020,” she captioned the snapshot, adding a flushed face emoji.
And Gwyneth Paltrow shared a selfie in which she wore a large black face mask as she travelled to Europe.
The 47-year-old Goop entrepreneur made reference to her role in the film Contagion, which is about a mystery virus that spreads across the world.
“I've already been in this movie, she wrote. “Stay safe. Don't shake hands. Wash hands frequently.”
Since the start of the outbreak, more than 114,000 patients have tested positive for the virus, of whom over 64,000 have “recovered”, according to John Hopkins University data.
Globally, the death toll has exceeded 4,000.
Cases appear to have “peaked” in China, the epicentre of the outbreak.
The infection has taken hold elsewhere, however, with Italy identifying more than 9,000 patients and 463 deaths.
The UK has 373 confirmed cases, with six deaths.
