The former Beverly Hills home of singer Nancy Sinatra — where she was once photographed with some of her iconic made-for-walkin’ boots — is hitting the market for $2.95 million. Much of the midcentury property remains the way it was when Sinatra owned the home in the 1960s.

“It’s been my family home for 50 years,” says Orly Frank, the home’s current owner, whose parents Abraham and Renee Frank purchased the home from TV and film director Sobey Martin (Four Nights of the Full Moon, Lost in Space), who had himself acquired it from Sinatra. “He lived in it very briefly,” continues Frank, who recalls that she was in high school when her parents moved in to the house.

Over the years, according to Frank, “Nancy Sinatra stayed in touch with my family. She came up and visited, and she sent some handwritten notes to my parents. She loved the house.”

The white-painted, gated house, listed with Steve Frankel of Coldwell Banker in Beverly Hills, is nestled in a canyon above the city of Beverly Hills and features a motor court with a mod entry. Inside, there’s a large open living room highlighted by a martini bar and an architectural fireplace that juts out into the space. Other features include the dining room, the original kitchen, a primary suite with a walk-in closet plus three more bedrooms, four baths, a two-car garage and a swimming pool offering views of the hills.

“Rarely do we see a home come to the market with such a rich Hollywood history,” says Frankel. “This is a wonderful opportunity to restore this midcentury gem and further cement it as the Hollywood treasure it is for years to come.”

Frank says that her parents fell for the yellow color scheme that Sinatra had for the house. “[Sinatra] loved the color yellow and she still loves the color yellow — I see her posts all the time. Yellow was her favorite color and my mom sort of adopted the same yellow curtains and yellow built-in seating around the fireplace. Even my children and I have all sort of attempted to incorporate yellow into all of our homes as a result. I kind of feel very touched by that color.”

The current owner also notes that Sinatra filmed the video for her 1967 song “I Gotta Get Outta This Town” at the home, which was on the soundtrack for the singer’s TV special Movin’ With Nancy. “She filmed it right there in the driveway in front of the house,” says Frank.

Frank adds that she is selling the home after the passing of her parents. “My mom just loved that house so much and so did my dad,” she says. “It’s a great home. It has all the midcentury modern bones.”

“It was a wonderful place to grow up, and it was very special,” continues Frank. “I would be heartbroken if somebody tore it down. I just hope it goes to somebody who really appreciates that style and will restore it.”

Sinatra, known for such hits as “These Boots Were Made for Walkin'” and “Sugar Town,” sold another home in Beverly Hills in 2011 for $5.3 million, according to the L.A. Times. Her debut album Boots was reissued by Light in the Attic Records two years ago.
