Nancy Meyers's Outdoor Kitchen Is the Epitome of Coastal Grandmother Style

If you’ve been on the internet at all this summer, there’s a good chance you’d heard of the coastal grandmother aesthetic. Nancy Meyers is practically the inventor of this style, embodying it in real life and through the films she makes. A recent tour of her Los Angeles home for Architectural Digest's July/August issue, which designer Mark D. Sikes gave a refresh, is the latest evidence that she’s the OG coastal grandma. One of the most dreamy parts is her outdoor kitchen, which seamlessly blends in with its natural surroundings.

At first glance, you might not realize that Meyers’s outdoor kitchen is, in fact, a kitchen. Covered by a black pergola with a lantern pendant light hanging from it, the kitchen is unobtrusive and surrounded by greenery. It features aluminum stools by RH and a custom table, according to AD.

When Meyers shared her outdoor kitchen on Instagram, it unsurprisingly received high remarks from another coastal grandmother icon: Ina Garten. She commented on not one but two images Meyers shared. “It is, indeed, heaven on earth, especially with you in it," Garten wrote on an image of Meyers walking into her garden.

Meyers's home sure does look like a dream, especially for anyone who's into a casual, clean, coastal-inspired look. Of course, the home is just as enticing on the inside as it is outside.
