Myles Garrett picks up sack on first NFL play
Welcome to the NFL, Myles Garrett!
The top overall pick of the 2017 draft, making Cleveland Browns debut after missing the first four weeks with a sprained ankle, picked up a sack on his first professional play. The Texas A&M product came in on third down and brought down New York Jets QB Josh McCown on a blitz.

As you would guess, Cleveland fans were ecstatic to even be getting their top pick back. It’s one of the best signs after an 0-4 start.

The Browns are hoping Garrett’s return boosts a pass rush that was tied for 21st in sacks and 29th in points allowed this year coming into Week 5. Through one play, the returns have been very positive.
