A Strange Meeting Of Flavors
Have you ever wondered "I love ice cream, but what if we ruined it on purpose?" Well, there's a new treat for you! Teaming up with California based ice cream brand Coolhaus for National Mustard Day, French's has introduced Mustard Ice Cream, served with a pretzel cookie.
People Had A LOT To Say
French's explained this decision in an upbeat statement about the food abomination.
"[We are] delivering its bold, one-of-a kind flavor” that brings “everyone the perfect summer treat to be enjoyed poolside, at a birthday party and as the perfect ending at a backyard barbeque (sic).”
Mustard ice cream will only be available for a limited time in LA and New York starting on August 1. While some brave souls admit that they're intrigued, the general consensus on Twitter seems to be triggering a lot of gag reflexes.
Truly An Odd Decision
While people may be disgusted on Twitter, this is probably the most that people have ever talked about French's mustard online, so from a marketing perspective, it's kind of brilliant.
