Memorial Day isn’t here just yet, but Musician’s Friend has already got the great ball of deals rolling with huge savings of up to 40% off music gear. The sale is on until May 29th, and there’s a massive range of gear on offer from electric guitars to audio interfaces, making it the perfect time to pick up a pre-summer bargain.

As well as big money off select gear, Musician’s Friend is also running a Memorial Day coupon on certain items with 10% off orders between $49 to $98.99, and 15% off orders of $99 or more. We’ve had a look through the whole sale and picked out our favourite gear bargains for you, starting with the awesome Yamaha reface CS which has got a hefty $150 discount, taking the price down to just $299.99. In our Yamaha reface CS review we gave it 4.5 stars out of five, praising it for its excellent playability and great sound set. Perfect for TB-303 style bass, CS-type brass sounds plus loads of great leads and evolving pads, this simple-looking synth belies a surprising amount of depth.

Next up we had to shout out one of our favourite audio interfaces in the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen. It’s the latest version of the Scarlett line with a nice $20 reduction, bringing it well below the $200 mark it normally sits at. Packed full of useful features like auto gain, which detects the perfect amount of gain for your instrument, as well as clip safe mode which prevents any take-ruining moments of clipping. Finally, we picked out the Eventide Blackhole pedal, which is the perfect way to add some soundscaping elements to your guitars or synthesizer. It’s got a tempting $50 off the regular price in the Memorial Day sale at the moment taking the price down to just $199, well worth it for those who like to explore otherworldly sounds.
