By Rob Arcand

After the passing of his wife, the artist Geneviève Castrée, Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum started work on an album documenting the exact minutiae of the days leading up to and following her death. Documented in a number of recentinterviews, and on two previouslyavailable singles, the musician has finally unveiled A Crow Looked At Me, which is now streaming in full via NPR Music. The album features eleven tracks that “say everything as it is. No metaphors.” It’ll be released everywhere March 24 via Elverum’s own label P.W. Elverum & Sun. Check it out below.
