L.E.A.F Series 'Florida Friendly Fruit Trees'

Join Florida-Friendly Landscaping Agent Amanda Marek of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services at Sholom Park, 7110 SW 80th Ave., Ocala, on April 15 at 10:30 a.m. for special instruction in how you can have a fruitful home garden. The presentation includes an agricultural walk to view and learn about the edible trees, shrubs and bushes growing throughout the park. Registration is $5; space is limited. Reilly Noir Presents Longineu Parsons

The musician and soloist has performed with a variety of international orchestras and symphonies and has taught at the Conservatoire Nationale de France and Universidad Autonoma de Bucaramanga in Colombia. He is currently professor of music at Florida A&M University. Parsons performs at the Reilly Arts Center, 500 NE Ninth St., Ocala, on April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the NOMA Black Box. Hot Cars and Cool Cats Car Show

Meet the Tiger Maximus and enjoy some family friendly fun and activities at 2250 NE 70th St. on April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for this fundraising event supporting EARS (Endangered Animal Rescue Sanctuary), a nonprofit supporting the care and protection of big cats, bears and monkeys. Spring Band Jam

Brick City Beer and Wine Festival

The eighth annual Brick City Beer and Wine Festival, presented by the World Equestrian Center, will be held April 16 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Citizens’ Circle, 151 SE Osceola Ave., Ocala. This annual event is hosted by the Ocala-Silver Springs Rotary Club and the Ocala-Sunset Rotary. Proceeds benefit Interfaith Emergency Services, Marion County Literacy Council and Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection. Tickets from $15. The work of this German-American artist and Ocala resident has been displayed in art galleries and publications across the world, and he is the recipient of the Western Art Rodeo Association’s “World Finals Dry Medium” competition. 2022 CF Student Art Exhibition

The College of Central Florida showcases the talents of Visual Arts and Digital Media students in this annual show, providing artists with an opportunity to present their work in a professional environment. Judged by Carla Poindexter, professor of studio art at the University of Central Florida. 'Encounter' by Tom Hundersmarck

An abstract and landscape painter based in Gainesville, Hundersmarck began painting as a child and has worked extensively as a psychologist with combat veterans.
