Music abounds this weekend at Ashland Golf Club, Secrest Arboretum, downtown Wooster

Semer, Holthouse and Kastran, 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Ashland Golf Club. The musical trio will bring a blend of songs as part of the summer series of “Parties on The Patio." Buehler’s will be part of this fun evening with their Mexican Food Truck and Shank’s will provide a full selection of drinks. The event is open to the public.

Music at the Arboretum: Jerry Popiel, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, John Streeter Garden Amphitheater. The Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) and the Friends of the Secrest Arboretum close out the summer Music at the Arboretum concert series withAvon Lake-based musician Jerry Popiel. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at Fisher Auditorium, 1680 Madison Ave., Wooster. For more information call 419-853-6016. The program is free, but registration is recommended.

Downtown Wooster Farmers' Market, 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, downtown Wooster. Shop locally for the freshest picked produce, organic eggs, meat and poultry, honey, home-baked goods, fresh-cut flowers, wine tastings, artisanal crafts and more. Fiber Arts Festival and Market, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Hosted by the Smithville Community Historical Society, you can tour the Mishler Weaving Mill and see live demonstrations of crafters making rugs on old fashion looms. Multiple vendors will be selling handcrafted items. There also will be food, music, tours of the log cabins in the Pioneer Village, a quilt show and a pottery sale at the Village Potter. The Smithville Stars Vintage Baseball team will be playing a game at 11 am. The is a free event.

Pet Food Pantry, 4-5:30 p.m., Aug. 23, St. James Episcopal Church. Any pet owner in need of assistance is welcome to receive free dog or cat food once per month. Those on SNAP or WIC may receive food twice per month.  The pantry is open on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month. No appointment is needed.

"Animal House" - Anniversary Film Series, 7:30-9:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25, Canton Palace Theater. Celebrate the release of beloved films by seeing them on the big screen again during The Anniversary Film Series. Watch as Dean Vernon Wormer is determined to expel the entire Delta Tau Chi Fraternity, but those troublemakers have other plans for him in the classic film Animal House. The doors open at 7 p.m., with showtime at 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $7 and are available at the door.

Always ABBA - A Tribute to ABBA, 7:30 p.m., Aug. 27, at the Lions Lincoln Theater, 156 Lincoln Way E., Massillon. Sing along with Always ABBA and get your groove on to great ABBA hit songs, such as “Mamma Mia”, “Dancing Queen”, “Take a Chance on Me”, “Knowing Me”, “Knowing You”, “The Winner Takes It All”, “Waterloo” and more.
