Murray awarded prestigious scholarship

Dec. 9—University of Tulsa student Josh Murray was recently awarded a scholarship from the Patti Johnson Wilson Foundation!

Murray, a 2022 graduate of Ada High School, is a film studies major, president of the TU Film Club, and works as a part-time videographer for the Montereau Senior Living Community. He also worked as a production assistant on the film, "King Ivory," which was directed by John Swab.

The Patti Johnson Wilson Foundation grants scholarships to students majoring in music, engineering, or liberal arts based on the student's academic record, a professor's letter of recommendation, and the student's employment status.

"I am incredibly grateful to be awarded this scholarship as it takes a financial burden off my back so I can focus more on being the best possible student," said Murray. "As someone who is paying their way through college, the impact of the scholarship cannot be measured simply by dollar amounts but in the opportunities it allows."
