MTV VMAs 2020: Watch Doja Cat Perform “Say So” and “Like That”
Doja Cat performed her singles “Say So” and “Like That” during MTV’s remotely produced broadcast of the 2020 Video Music Awards tonight (August 30). Doja kicked off the performance with a fake MTV News segment. She then sang her tracks dressed in a scaled iridescent catsuit, surrounded by a colorful, otherworldly set and dancers—some of whom wore tentacled body suits. Watch it all go down below.
Doja Cat won the VMA for the PUSH Best New Artist category during the event. “Say So” was nominated for Best New Song. Helmed by Hannah Lux Davis, the “Say So” video was also up for a Best Direction award. Nicki Minaj remixed “Say So” this spring, and the track became the first No. 1 hit for both rappers.
Since releasing Hot Pink last fall, Doja Cat has made guest appearances on City Girls’ “Pussy Talk,” Lil Wayne’s “Shimmy,” and remixed the Weeknd’s “In Your Eyes.”
