“Have you ever killed anyone?” might not qualify as normal first-date talk. Then again, very little about Mr. & Mrs. Smith‘s relationship — as evidenced in the first trailer for the Prime Video drama — qualifies as “normal.”

The series’ teaser, which dropped Thursday, introduces Donald Glover (Swarm, Atlanta) as John Smith and Maya Erskine (PEN15) as Jane Smith, two spies who have to enter an arranged marriage and live as partners in Manhattan in order to work for a mysterious agency that offers them the world.

“Now hitched,” the show’s synopsis reads, “John and Jane navigate a high-risk mission every week while also facing a new relationship milestone. Their complex cover story becomes even more complicated when they catch real feelings for each other. What’s riskier: espionage or marriage?”

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is a reimagining of the 2005 film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt; Glover co-created and executive-produces the series along with Francesca Sloane (Atlanta, Fargo). All eight episodes will be available to stream on Friday, Feb. 2.

The heavy-hitting cast also includes Paul Dano (Escape at Dannemora), Parker Posey (Lost in Space), Wagner Moura (Narcos), John Turturro (Severance), Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You), Eiza González (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Alexsander Skarsgard (True Blood), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters) and Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story).
