Remembrance services continued on Tuesday for former first lady Rosalynn Carter, who died on Nov. 19 at age 96.

Former President Jimmy Carter, 99, was joined by President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, former President Bill Clinton and former first ladies Melania Trump, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton in mourning at a private tribute service held at Glenn Memorial Church at Atlanta's Emory University. Members of the Carter family, including Jimmy and Rosalynn's children and grandchildren, were also in attendance.

On Wednesday, the funeral procession will move to Plains, Georgia, the couple's hometown. A service for family and friends will be followed by a private burial at the Carters' family home.

Inside the church, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden arrived, alongside former President Bill Clinton.

"Rosalynn did so much to address many of society’s greatest needs," the Bidens wrote in a statement following her death. "She was a champion for equal rights and opportunities for women and girls; an advocate for mental health and wellness for every person; and a supporter of the often unseen and uncompensated caregivers of our children, aging loved ones, and people with disabilities."

They continued, "Time and time again, during the more than four decades of our friendship – through rigors of campaigns, through the darkness of deep and profound loss – we always felt the hope, warmth, and optimism of Rosalynn Carter."
