Dec. 6—BLUEFIELD — A Christmas movie which was shot 10 years ago in West Virginia is coming Thursday to the Granada Theater for a 10th anniversary viewing and a reunion with the original cast and crew.

Actor Kevin Sizemore of Princeton will join costars Barrett Carnahan, Siomha Kenney and Michael Meredith along with producer Kristin Seibert, writer Ty DeMartino and director J.W. Myers at the Granada Theater in downtown Bluefield for the movie "A Christmas Tree Miracle." The show will begin at 7 p.m. and tickets will be $10.

Sizemore plays David George, the father in the well-to-do family that experiences financial collapse just in time for Christmas.

"'A Christmas Tree Miracle' is about a family that has it all," Sizemore said Tuesday. "They live well beyond their means and they realize that they should start cutting back, but they don't and bad things happen. When that takes place, they come on hard times and they end up coming across an unlikely person who helps them in ways they never had imagined."

Much of "A Christmas Tree Miracle" was shot 10 years ago in West Virginia and at the Feisley Tree Farm in Belmont, Ohio.

"We shot it in Wheeling 10 years ago and we thought it would be good to bring it to the Granada and get everyone together after 10 years," he said. "This is a movie people really love to watch every year, and I've never been able to visit the Granada since I live out of town, so this is the perfect storm."

Sizemore said he recently flew in to support the Princeton Senior High School Tigers at their championship game and then to the Princeton Christmas Parade Monday night, "and now we're going to the Granada on Thursday."

Coach Keith Taylor and the Princeton Tigers team have been invited to Thursday's movie.

"There's going to be a special surprise for members of the football team who attend," Sizemore said.

Besides "A Christmas Tree Miracle," Sizemore has appeared in "Flight 462," an episode of the television show "Fear the Walking Dead." He was recently in the season finale of the show "NCIS."

Sizemore said he is currently appearing in the television series "The Miracle Show" with his son Gunnar Sizemore. The series was shot during the pandemic, but it premiered this month.

"Go to your Smart TV app and download Family Time. It's a really personal show to allow people to know that miracles really do happen," he said.

Sizemore is also performing in the movie "Into the Spotlight." The film is about a young girl who discovers a magic microphone and learns that she has a choice to make.

"And it's a great kids film, a family film," he said.

The Granada Theater is located at 537 Commerce Street in Bluefield.
