University of Mount Union Cantus will have a high-profile concert date Sunday in Cleveland.

The Cantus, under the direction of Beth A. Polen, will perform Claude Debussy’s “Sirenes” alongside the Cleveland Women’s Orchestra at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Severance Hall.

The program also will feature choral selections by Jenni Brandon and Nadia Boulanger, as well as orchestral pieces by Fanny Mendelssohn and Germaine Tailleferre. Tickets for general admission seating can be purchased at the shortened link, shorturl.at/AFOU6.

Cantus is a dynamic treble vocal ensemble with about 38 student musicians from a diverse group of academic disciplines on campus.

Previous performances have included Johann Michael Haydn’s “Missa sub titula Sancti Leopoldi,” MH, 837 (1805), Diane Abdi Robertson’s “Dream” and Srul Irving Glick's “Psalm Trilogy.” Most recently, they collaborated with hip-hop artist Jéan P the MC on a rendition of “Children Go Where I Send Thee,” arranged by Kevin Phillip Johnson. Cantus rehearses three times each week and performs during each semester of the academic year, including appearances at the annual Mount Union Winter Festival.
