A mother at the House GOP's "Commitment to America" agenda rollout event called mask signs in schools "propaganda." This woman was speaking at a rally in a suburb of Pittsburg held by the GOP to unveil their legislative roadmap ahead of the midterms. The plan, titled “Commitment to America” echoes the Republican plan of a similar name “Contract with America” that was introduced by Newt Gingrich in 1994. The plan has 4 pillars of focus: economy, safety, freedom, and government accountability. Many members of the House GOP were present at the rally which was led by Republican House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). Mask wearing as a safety precaution against Covid-19 has been a big point of contention among the Republican Party and those who identify with the Republican Party.

AUDIENCE MEMBERS: “Propaganda signs were all over the schools, like “mask up for safety” and “be a hero, wear a mask”. The collateral damage these policies have done to our children is now finally coming to light.”
