Mother and Daughter Hikers Bump Into Hillary Clinton in the Woods

When Margot Gerster of Chappaqua, New York took her daughters on a hike through the woods Wednesday morning, she came across an unexpected dog-walker–Hillary Clinton.

Gerster published a photo on Facebook of Clinton, herself and her child less than 24 hours after the Democratic nominee conceded to Donald Trump.

In the caption, Gerster expressed her disheartened state since Tuesday’s election results, saying that she told Clinton one of her proudest moments as a mother was being able to take her daughter to the polling station and vote for the historic female nominee.

“She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think I’ll definitely take this one.”
