Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow approaches everything in her life with a sense of purpose we mere mortals only dream of and husband Brad Falchuk is no exception to her highly particular ways. Apparently, Paltrow let Falchuk keep “some of his stuff” when he moved in to her house, and to that we say: bravo. Honestly, most of us have too much stuff as it is, and the idea of taking on a lifetime of someone else’s accumulated possessions is exhausting to think about. Clearly, Paltrow had no qualms about letting Falchuk know she’d be approving which pieces made it into her home. So, what did he get to keep?

Paltrow revealed new details of her living arrangement with Falchuk onJimmy Kimmel Live!Wednesday night. After talking through why she and Falchuk had decided to wait to move in together after getting married, Kimmel joked: “Did he get to keep any of his stuff? Or is it all your stuff? Because I would imagine that your stuff is better than his stuff, or anyone’s stuff, really.” The man has a point!

Laughing, Paltrow interjected, “It is!” but insisted that she didn’t make Falchuk start from scratch. “He got to keep some of his stuff,” Paltrow protested. “He has good taste, he’s got really nice clothes and we put some chairs from his house in there.” So, Falchuk got to keep some chairs and his clothing, the latter of which we didn’t realize was on the table for disposal. Though, honestly, we respect that there’s a level of dress required to be Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband.

Paltrowgave a bit of further insight about why she and Falchuk’s living arrangement played out the way it did: “Because we each have two teenage children whom we love very much,” she explained, “we were just trying to be mindful and give them a little space and not move too quickly. But all is well now, the Goop founder confirmed: “Were merged, and its great.” And there are some beautiful chairs at chez Paltrow.
