Here's my prediction: 2024 will go down as one of the biggest years in television history. Record-breaking strikes from the WGA and SAG-AFTRA effectively shut down Hollywood in 2023, meaning that many television releases were pushed into a release this year. If you’ve been sitting around, wondering when a certain popular series will finally put out the next season, I’d bet it lands somewhere in 2024.

Though many of Netflix’s biggest hitters—including Wednesday and Stranger Thingswon't return until sometime in 2025, the streamer still quite a few surprises up its sleeve. Netflix already released some stellar original series this year, including Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen and 3 Body Problem, from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Of course, reality television keeps chugging along with Love is Blind—and Dinner Time Live with David Chang is bringing new meaning to the phrase "binge television." Later in the year, we'll see the return of Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, and The Umbrella Academy.

It's time to confirm that "Are you still watching?" prompt, pronto. Below, check out the best of Netflix's offerings this year (so far).

3 Body Problem

The latest sci-fi/fantasy project from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, follows a team of scientists on a mission to prevent an alien invasion. Based on Liu Cixin's novel of the same name, 3 Body Problem stars Benedict Wong, Rosalind Chao, Jonathan Pryce, and Jovan Adepo.

The Gentlemen

The White Lotus star Theo James leads the television adaptation of Guy Ritchie's The Gentlemen, continuing the action of the 2020 film with a brand-new story. Though Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant don't make appearances, The Gentlemen is still a brilliantly chaotic watch.

Love is Blind (Season 6)

Some viewers grew tired of Love is Blind as we approached season 6. I, on the other hand, can't get enough. Love is Blind is one of the only dating shows that actively seeks to disprove its thesis. It's a crazy combination of Married at First Sight and 90 Day Fiancé—which means that the drama is on full blast at all times.
