Morrissey Postpones UK/Europe Tour Dates

Several shows, including his homecoming Manchester performances, have been postponed due to “logistical concerns”

Morrissey has postponed his upcoming UK and European performances. According to a statement from the promoter, the scheduled shows have been postponed “due to logistical concerns beyond our control.” Among the postponed dates are a pair of homecoming performances at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl on July 7 and 8. (It was recently announced that an anti-racism event would be held near the venue on the night of the second show, “in response to Morrissey’s divisive views and his support for the far right.”) According to the statement, Morrissey’s tour will resume in November in Mexico City, and the canceled shows will be rescheduled “as soon as possible.”

Morrissey’s latest album, Low in High School, arrived last year. Read “Smith vs. Smith: Reading the Morrissey and Marr Memoirs” on the Pitch.
