Warning: spoilers for The Morning Show Season 3 ahead.

The Morning Show's showrunner Charlotte Stoudt finally offered viewers a hint as to when season 4 of the popular Apple TV+ drama could premiere.

During PaleyFest 2024's opening night in Los Angeles on Friday, April 12, Stoudt said that the show's next season will arrive after the 2024 presidential election. Stoudt was joined onstage by castmembers, including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Mark Duplass, Karen Pittman, Tig Notaro and Nestor Carbonell.

"The show will be out after the election," Stoudt hinted, adding, "[The challenge will be] how do you go at it [the election] in an interesting way without being predictive."

Elsewhere during the panel, the cast discussed The Morning Show's third season in broad strokes. Season 3’s finale aired on Nov. 8, 2023, and ended with the cast of the show thwarting billionaire corporate bigwig Paul Marks (Jon Hamm) from selling UBA to Hyperion.  Alex (Aniston), who was initially charmed by Paul, played a major role in stopping the sale by proposing a merger between UBA and rival network NBN.

"There was a connection," Aniston, 55, says of her character's bond with Paul. "The charming side of [Paul] comes out and you sort of get swept away."

Bradley (Witherspoon) and brother Hal (Joe Tippett), meanwhile, turned themselves in to the FBI for their role in the Jan. 6 insurrection. Witherspoon, 48, summed up Bradley's motivations quite simply: "Would you do something illiegal for your mother, daughter, father or brother?"

Pittman, for her part, expressed a deep admiration for the power of media through her experience of playing Mia, a producer on The Morning Show. "Free press matters so much," she adds.

Aniston and Witherspoon, who are executive producers for the AppleTV+ show, previously discussed their offscreen friendship in an interview with Variety in December 2023.

“It’s just in our DNA that we are collaborators," Aniston told the outlet. "We’re partners. We’re friends. We’re girlfriends, we share all sorts of heartbreaks in life and love and everything.”
