Morgan Wallen shaved his trademark mullet. Which other country stars have iconic hair? Here's our Top 10
- Oops!Something went wrong.Please try again later.
Morgan Wallen set social media on fire over the weekend after appearing at his Columbus, Ohio, concert stop in a baseball cap without his trademark mullet curls hanging out the back.
The singer told the crowd "before we go any further, I didn't like my long hair anymore, so I shaved it off."
But Wallen's trademark mullet is iconic. It's defining. It brought back the business-in-the-front, party-in-the-back style that hadn't been cool since Billy Ray Cyrus rocked it in the early '90s.
And now it's gone.
Fans reacted on social media with all sorts of opinions ranging from "I don't care, you are still handsome," to "I want my $450 back that I paid for this concert ticket."
Wallen has yet to post any photos of his new 'do — or lack thereof — on his social channels.

But this got our wheels turning. Aside from Wallen, what other country music entertainers wouldn't be who they are without their signature locks? Who else could cause such a ruckus if they shaved their head?
Here's our top 10.
1. Chris Stapleton
Stapleton's trademark hat, long hair and beard are certainly the backbone of his image. Would fans even recognize him without the hat? Maybe not. If he shaved his beard and head? Definitely not.

2. Willie Nelson
The braids. The headband. The gray beard. Classic.
3. Dolly Parton
Even though her hair changes daily thanks to what must be a closet full of wigs in various styles, her hair is certainly a key part of her iconic look. If you try to picture her with anything other than big blonde curls and fancy up-dos, it just doesn't seem like Dolly.
4. Marty Stuart
Stuart has owned the fact that gray hair can still be super cool. He is still able to rock his signature spiked-up, messy look even though now it is gray. Many men would kill to have that head full of hair and to be able to make such a style statement with it.

5. Keith Urban
Urban has gone slightly longer and shorter with his blonde hair over the years, but regardless of length, it's always windswept and stylish. It might seem hard to picture Urban donning anything else. Throughout his career, he's rarely worn hats (cowboy or baseball), putting his signature 'do front and center.
6. Reba McEntire
Reba's red locks have been big and teased throughout her career as well as more soft and subdued, but the singer always shows up rocking her trademark red hair.
7. Billy Ray Cyrus
The original king of the mullet (sorry Wallen), Cyrus has since abandoned his signature look from the early '90s, but still manages to make his hair a dramatic part of his look.
8. Crystal Gayle
Gayle's trademark look throughout her entire career was arguably country music's longest hair. The music video from her '70s hit "Don't it Make My Brown Eyes Blue" showcases the long, long, long brown hair cascading down to the back of her knees that became her signature.
9. Carrie Underwood
Can you picture Underwood sporting a pixie cut? Yeah, us either. Another artist whose hairstyle has adapted and updated throughout her career, Underwood's trademark blonde locks have become part of her iconic look.
10. Emmylou Harris
Like Marty Stuart, Harris has embraced —and owns — the most beautiful gray hair in country music or any other genre for that matter. She's been gradually going gray for years, but has ended up with such gorgeous hair that it has become unmistakable.
