Aug. 30—Pittsburgh's North Shore will be busy Wednesday and Thursday as country music fans descend on PNC Park for a two-night stop of Morgan Wallen's tour.

Both shows appear to be close to selling out, according to Ticketmaster, so that means parking lots packed with cowboy boot-wearing fans as gates open at 4 p.m.

The Miller Lite Kickoff and Rib Festival also is getting underway at Acrisure Stadium starting at noon Wednesday and Thursday, so traffic in the area likely will be busy.

Here are five things to know before you go:

Tickets

There are tickets left for the back-to-back shows as of Wednesday morning, though most are pricey. Wednesday's show has tickets for $89.75 available but the cheapest ones for Thursday night start at $249.75, according to Ticketmaster.

There is no admission price to the rib festival, where 12 rib vendors will be set up.

Wallen sold out his show in Burgettstown last year.

Getting there

There are parking lots on the North Shore but keep in mind that the shows are on weekdays and workers likely will still be around as fans begin to arrive.

Several Alco Parking Corp. lots around PNC Park are sold out, but tickets remain available for both nights in lots that will require a bit of a walk. They can be purchased at alcoparking.com. Lots will open four hours before the event and all vehicles must be out one hour after the concert ends.

------

The concert is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. with opening acts.

Parking Downtown and taking a free ride on the light rail "T" to the North Shore is an option. Check out schedules and maps on the Pittsburgh Regional Transit website.

Or maybe you'd like to take in a view on your way to the North Shore. The Gateway Clipper Fleet's shuttle from Station Square will start at 2 p.m. both days. Tickets can be purchased in person at the dock for $15 round trip or $8 one way.

What to take

Small soft-sided bags, such as a purse, fanny pack or backpack, that measures no larger than 16-by-16-by-8 inches are permitted inside PNC Park. Concert-goers will need to walk through a metal detector before getting inside. All bags are subject to search.

There are exceptions for medical-related or diaper bags.

The weather

The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies Wednesday with a high of 72 degrees and a mostly sunny day Thursday with a high of 77. Lows both nights will dip into the 50s.

Packing sunscreen and a light jacket with the cowboy hat might be a good idea.

What to expect

Wallen's One Night at a Time World Tour Pittsburgh dates were rescheduled from June 14 and 15 after the singer reported vocal injuries in May. He took a break from singing for several weeks.

His "One Thing at a Time" album was released earlier this year.

Reviews from past shows indicated that Wallen was on stage for 90 minutes performing his hits, many of which came from his recent album.
