CHIPPEWA TWP. ― A variety of local talent, including an "American Idol" Gold Ticket winner, entertains Aug. 12 at the eighth annual Musicfest at the Highland VFW.

Morgan Gruber, Franklin Township's "Idol" star, performs with her band, joining a lineup that includes one of Beaver County's busiest musical groups, The Project Band, and a blast-from-the-past with the return of Wild Child.

The public is invited to the VFW, at 376 Park Road, and since it's an outdoor show, encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a pop-up tent if desired.

There will be a large tent available in case of inclement weather.

"As usual, we are trying something new as we have food trucks for your dining pleasure," event organizer David Flenner said. "We will have the Ambridge Italian Villa and Grillz on Wheelz."

Adult beverages will be available.

Doors open at 2 p.m. and music begins at 3, with Wicked Season, followed by 15-year-old singer Kennadi Flenner at 4 p.m. and Wild Child at 5 p.m.

At 6 p.m., Ben Flint performs an acoustic set.

"There will be awesome raffle baskets and don't forget all proceeds go to the veterans," Flenner said. "We will have a 50/50 drawing and various things throughout the day. We have event shirts available for purchase."

Admission is $5.

"I personally dare you to find a better event with this caliber of musicians who have graciously donated their time for this all-ages event," Flenner said.
