More than half of Meijer Gardens concerts sold out during member pre-sale

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A day after tickets for the 2024 Summer Concert Series at Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park went live to members only, more than half of the concerts have already sold out.

This comes even after members experienced delays in purchasing the tickets due to “an extreme surge in demand of nonmembers accessing both AXS and the Meijer Gardens website,” according to John VanderHaagen, a spokesperson for the gardens.

“There was an influx of nonmember traffic that was able to get into the ticketing system and lock up inventory in shopping carts,” VanderHaagen told News 8. “Once those accounts were identified and cleared, AXS lifted the hold in the waiting room and sales resumed rapidly without incident.”

Well now just a day after the sale opened, the gardens’ website shows 17 of the 33 shows have already sold out, including Black Pumas, My Morning Jacket, The Temptation, Jason Mraz and Fitz and the Tantrums.

A few shows still remain such as Orville Peck, Tower of Power and Leslie Odom Jr.

Tickets for nonmembers go on sale April 27 at 9 a.m. Click here to check out the remaining shows or sign up for a membership.
