More Executive Departures at Relativity: Paul Davidge Out as Int'l Distribution Head

EXCLUSIVE

Paul Davidge, VP international business development at Relativity Media, has left the company to become chief operating officer of Exclusive Media's international sales division, TheWrap has learned.

Davidge was not immediately available for comment Wednesday.

His exit comes amid a series of executive departures at Relativity, including Chief Operating Officer Brian Edwards, who left the company in October after less than six months at the job to return to his old post at Mark Burnett Productions.

President Steve Bertram has also been weighing leaving the company now that his contract is up. A decision on whether he will stay is expected in about two weeks, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

A Relativity spokesman downplayed Davidge's departure, saying that while he was a respected member of the company's team, he was one of more than 20 vice presidents.

Bertram's predecessor as studio president, Michael Joe, stepped down from his post in May to take a new position at hedge fund Elliott Management. On Wednesday, he announced that he was leaving his post at Elliott early this year.

Among the others who have left Relativity since it began its transition from a film financier to a full fledged studio are: Senior Vice President of Acquisitions Joe Matukewicz, who recently left for a post at Sony; President of Theatrical Marketing and Distribution Peter Adee, who announced last April that he was leaving the studio after 10 months on the job; Worldwide Marketing President Geoffrey Ammer, who stepped down in August, 2010.

Exclusive is the flagship label of Exclusive Media, which "develops, finances, produces, markets and distributes prestige and talent-driven commercial and documentary feature films on a global basis," according to its website. Among the company's labels are Hammer, for genre titles, and Spitfire Pictures for documentaries.
