With Christmas less than a month away, Springfield is already getting in the holiday spirit. If you're needing a boost of cheer yourself, consider hopping in the car and visiting a few of the area's best holiday light displays.
The News-Leader has compiled a list of more than 20 different Christmas light displays featured at homes in and around Springfield. This list is made annually with community submissions, so it is not comprehensive. Ashley and Rob Snook, 1949 N. Farm Road 97
New to the News-Leader's Christmas decorations round-up this year are Ashley and Rob Snook. The couple has a large yard full of brightly-colored light displays, including a family of Christmas geese, countless snowmen to go around and even two Santa Claus hat-wearing skeletons.
Bagwell Lights, 2008 E. Cambridge St.
Mike Bagwell doesn't seem to miss a square inch of his yard when decorating for the holidays. The Bagwell Lights are a popular Springfield attraction, featuring thousands of lights, inflatables and towering trees. The display is on from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-10:45 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Ben Ratterree, 3432 S. Jefferson Ave.
Ben Ratterree's front lawn is full different colored lights, inflatables and other 3D decorations.
Bob Graham, 1953 S. Meadowview Ave.
Bob Graham's Christmas display is full of countless blow molds that light up the night.
Carrolls Family Light Display, 5798 S. Fairview Ave.
Kevin and Mary Carroll have been going big for Christmas since their children were youngsters. Now, their children are grown and have their own families, daughter Tiffany Carroll told the News-Leader. The two are expecting their 10th grandchild soon.
Darren Vodopich, 1621 E. Atlantic St.
Springfield resident Darren Vodopich enjoys covering his entire front yard with lights, inflatables and other 3D decorations. He said this year, he's added new metal artwork to the display.
Don and Rhonda Long, 2554 N. Grant Ave.
Don and Rhonda Long's home on Grant Avenue is a hard one to miss with its singing light bulbs and nativity scene.
Keys family, 1010 W. Walnut St.
The Keys family have a Christmas display like no other in Springfield. Every weekend night between 6-9 p.m., the front of the Keys' house is illuminated with a light show projection. The full projection is about seven minutes long.
Frederick Collins, 2531 W. Talmage St.
An array of different colored lights and inflatables fill Frederick Collins' front lawn for the holidays.
House-Henry residence, 2218 E. Mirabeau St.
A large nativity scene is the central feature at the House-Henry residence in Springfield.
Jaxon's Lights, 4938 S. Tujunga Drive
Eighteen-year-old Jaxon Baker has been decorating his family's front lawn for nine years. Over the last few months, Baker has been busy setting up more than 20,000 lights and 15 inflatables over three yards. Passerby are encouraged to tune their radios to 97.1 FM for some extra Christmas cheer.
The display is on from 5-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Baker does accept donations to further his display each year. To learn more, visit the Jaxons Lights Facebook Page.
John and Lena Sample, 2639 E. Linwood St.
It's a snowman family Christmas in John and Lena Sample's front lawn, which is full of different shapes and sizes of snowmen.
Jonathan Gugel, 4739 W. La Siesta St.
Local schoolteacher Jonathan Gugel raises money each year for Willard's Care to Learn, which helps students at Willard Public Schools gain access to their health, hunger and hygiene needs. Folks who stop by to check out Gugel's decorations may leave a donation for Care to Learn.
Josh Street Christmas Lights, 5631 W. Josh St.
Kelli and Craig Rogers light up the entire corner of their street with their Josh Street Christmas Lights display. To learn more, visit the Josh Street Christmas Lights Facebook Page.
Ken and Paula Phillips, 4261 W. Madison St.
"Our Christmas display is a labor of love and we want to share that love with our community," Ken Phillips told the News-Leader about his holiday decorations. "We welcome everyone to come by and see our vision come to life with synchronized lights that dance and twinkle to music."
The Phillips' household is popularly known for its singing lightbulb named Stanley and special guests who peer from the windows.
Matthew Scott, 3757 W. Farm Road 94
Countless homemade Christmas characters welcome passerby at Matthew Scott's home in Springfield.
Martin family, 4032 W. Mesa St.
Similar to last year, the Martin family's Christmas display spans over three front lawns and features a 20-foot Christmas tree, lasers and a snow machine. The display is synchronized to eight different songs. The Martins have a box near their driveway where passerby can leave donations, if they'd like. All donations benefit the Ozarks Food Harvest.
Michael and Gissell Sommer, 1970 S. Kings Ave.
It's hard to miss Michael Sommer's front yard full of elaborate decorations for the holidays, including a large nativity scene.
Nathan Dawes, 2633 S. National Ave.
For folks driving along National Avenue, it's hard to miss the decorations in Nathan Dawes' front lawn. Dawes, who is known for his Halloween decorations too, displays different colored lights, inflatables and other familiar characters for passerby.
Roy Zook, 218 W. Mazzy Drive
Roy Zook's front yard is full of Hanukkah cheer, including blue and white string lights and several fun inflatables.
Sherry and Todd Mullet, 1135 S. Brown Ave.
An array of different Christmas characters, ranging from a winged pig to a Christmas teddy bear, cover the front lawn of Sherry and Todd Mullet's home in Springfield.
Shrine Bright Lighting Show, 7094 N. Farm Road 171
Corey and Tammy Bright are hosting their second annual Shrine Bright Lighting Show this year. Their Christmas display features two 17-feet trees, a lighted matrix, spinning props and more than 14,000 pixel lights. Passerby are encouraged to tune their radios to 94.1 FM for synchronized music. Steve and Cheryl Evans, 761 S. Hemlock Ave.
An array of different Christmas characters cover the front lawn of Steve and Cheryl Evans' home.
Underwood Lights, 349 S. Mahn Ave.
Cole Underwood is the mastermind behind Underwood Lights, a display that he has been proud to put up for the holiday season the last 12 years. Passerby are encouraged to tune their radios to 94.1 FM for four Christmas songs that match up with the display. To learn more about the display, visit the Underwood Lights Facebook Page.
Willing to drive outside of Springfield for Christmas cheer? Here are a few other displays worth visiting in the Ozarks.
Dickson Christmas Wonderland, 2861 S. Hartford Ave. in Bolivar
Located out in Bolivar, the Dickson Christmas Wonderland is worth the drive. The display spans across three yards with singing lightbulbs, leaping arches, a 12.5-foot metal dinosaur, video projection, a pixel matrix, two pixel trees, blow molds and wire figures. The display is on from 5-10 p.m. every night from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31.
New this year are a Mario-themed Ferris wheel, seven 3D wire decorations and 80 pixel stakes.
Jennifer Henderson, 2617 W. Colton Ave. in Ozark
Located in Ozark, Jennifer Henderson is at it again with inflatables that are tall enough to tower over her house.
Kevin and Valinda Bradley, 2874 State Highway B in Rogersville
Kevin and Valinda Bradley's Christmas display is truly a sight to behold. Their front lawn features more than 250 inflatables, memorial trees, photo booths, an area for children to write letters to Santa Claus and a bake shop where visitors can purchase baked goods to help with the host of the display.
Kevin told the News-Leader that the display will run every night until Christmas Eve, usually between 5:30-8:30 p.m. during the week and 5:30-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. He encouraged folks to check out the B Highway Christmas Display Facebook Page to make sure the display will be turned on if there is inclement weather.
Smith Farm Christmas Lights, 2837 S. State Highway PP in Republic
Managed by Jeff Smith, Smith Farm Christmas Lights run every night from 6-9 p.m. The entire display is synchronized to music and features lights, blow molds and plenty of inflatables.
Steinert Family Lights, 752 W. Apache St. in Republic
The Steinert Family Lights display is not one to miss this holiday season. The family is hosting its seventh annual free hot cocoa night on Saturday, Dec. 23 from 6-8 p.m. Set up in the road in front of their home, the Steinerts will serve hot chocolate to all who stop by. Streight family, 5733 S. Meadowlark Lane in Battlefield
Large inflatables, projections and thousands of Christmas lights fill Sean McCleary and Lael Streight's front lawn in Battlefield.
Valerie and Ron Willis, 3030 State Highway B in Rogersville
It's hard to miss Valerie and Ron Willis' front yard in Rogersville, as it's full of light-up characters and illuminated trees.
Vorst family, 6479 N. Fremont Road in Ozark
Shelly and Al Vorst decorate their home along with their two sons Colton and Caden. Shelly told the News-Leader that she and Al have seven grandchildren — two live just around the corner — who love driving by the display nightly.
"We are not a high tech light show, but we love that others enjoy our lights and come back each year," Shelly told the News-Leader.
Waterford Christmas Cottage, 602 E. Falls Circle in Ozark
The Waterford Christmas Cottage in Ozark resembles a home from Whoville, featuring in the Christmas classic, "The Grinch." The show runs Dec. 1 through Jan. 16.
