Monroe High School Drama Club staging 'Clue' this weekend

MONROE — The Monroe High School Drama Club will present the comedy/mystery "Clue: On Stage (High School Edition)" this weekend.

Curtain times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the MHS auditorium, 901 Herr Road. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens and $5 for students. Doors will open an hour before each performance.

"Clue" is based on the Hasbro board game and the 1985 Paramount movie. Set in a remote mansion, "six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party, where murder and blackmail are on the menu," MHS said in a news release. "When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects."

Senior Nolan Livingston plays Wadsworth the Butler. Miss Scarlet is portrayed by sophomore Caroline Grenn. Junior Rose Kidd is Mrs. Peacock, and senior Brandon Miller is Mr. Green. Drama Club president and senior Presley Bray plays Mrs. White.

Senior Dalton Clark, who ran the spotlight for the fall show "Big Fish," plays Colonel Mustard. Junior Myles Bray makes his drama debut in the role of Professor Plum.

The ensemble also includes senior Emersyn Ansel as Yvette, the French maid; seniorMathieu Grenn as Mr. Boddy; senior Charlotte Yesnach as Cook; sophomore Bailey Baker asSinging Telegram Girl; and junior Ryan Viers as the Motorist. The Chief of Police (senior VirgilBraun), is supported by an Unexpected Cop (senior Stephen Ortiz) and two Backup Cops (juniorsBen Wilson and Elijan Brumbaugh).

MHS English teacher Jeremy Kimberlin is the director. English teacher Rebecca Molenda is the production designer.

Production assistance is provided by Samantha Eby, student assistant director; Virgil Braun andRayvon Reed, student assistant costumers; Mackenzie Lockhart, assistant stage manager; KaidenMcClain, sound technician; and Ever Smith, light technician.

The stage crew includes Addi Bressler, Zachary Kemp, Bailey Martinez, Sunny Miller, RayyanPeracha, Kendall Ruman, Breanna Turner and Skylar Whitman.
