Monica Bellucci's Daughter Deva Cassel, 19, Covers “Gen V” Magazine and Shares Wisdom from Her Famous Parents

The model, whose dad is actor Vincent Cassel, made her acting debut in the Italian film 'The Beautiful Summer' this year

Who better to grace one of Gen V’s first issues than rising star Deva Cassel?

Like the magazine itself, Cassel, 19, is just getting started. The daughter of Monica Belucci, 59, and Vincent Cassel, 57, made her acting debut this year and now returns to modeling for the fourth issue of Gen V — formerly known as Mini V.

Sitting down with the outlet, the model reflected on the lessons she learned from her parents.

“They taught me to always look forward, to always protect myself, to always be kind, and always keep wonder in mind,” Deva said.

Bellucci and Vincent also share daughter Léonie, 13.

“There’s much more, but the point is that they’ve taught me how to handle unexpected situations and live by my own rules, while always respecting people and the environment I’m in,” Deva added.

Deva shared that she “really did not want to be an actor” for most of her childhood because the fashion industry always interested her — thanks to her mom’s influence.

“I remember browsing through my mom’s huge fashion books that she kept in the house for as long as I can remember,” she said. “Everything was so looked after and beautiful. I knew I wanted to work in that industry at some point in my life, but I definitely didn’t expect to love it this much and make a living out of it.”

As the teen model has entered the fashion industry, she also became interested in the acting career she once dismissed. Deva starred in The Beautiful Summer this year, and will star in the upcoming Netflix series The Leopard. 

Looking toward the future, Deva said she dreams of creating her own capsule with a brand and hopes to have traveled the world by the age of 30.

For now, the 19-year-old has one destination in mind for 2024 — Japan — and hopes to explore the country in the new year. And though she might have famous parents (and a budding career in the spotlight), she has more familiar teenage goals, too: spending more time with her family and getting her driver's license.
