Mom surprises ex-husband with touching visit from kids
Co-parenting isn’t easy. In a world where even high-profile A-list celebrities become embroiled in years-long custody battles, divorces can get messy. When tensions run high and things escalate, in the end, it’s the kids who may suffer the most.
This couple’s co-parenting style has people’s hearts melting on TikTok, and it’s likely because they’ve seen what the alternative is. Lindsay McLain and her ex-husband may not still be a couple, but that doesn’t mean they can’t both be great parents. When McLain was driving by her ex’s house, their two kids made a special request. The mom was quick to oblige it.

“Since their Dad only lives nine miles away from us now (he was 12 hours away), today while we were running errands, they asked to stop by his house for a drive-by hug,” the mother wrote in the caption. “How could we ever deny such a sweet request?”
McLain let her son and daughter out of the car. The two little ones excitedly ran up to their dad’s door and gave him a hug. It was a small gesture but incredibly meaningful for the family.

“Their happy hearts are all that matter,” McLain said.
The touching video received over 9.4 million views on TikTok.
“Awesome. When two adults get along, everyone would be happy!” one person said.
“This is how co-parenting is done. It’s always what’s best for the kids,” another wrote.
“I wish all parents were this mature,” a user commented.
