Mom Says She Doesn’t Believe Daughter’s Claim That She Was Abused, Believes Boyfriend Is Innocent

Adrienne says she met and fell in love with John Kinsel about 30 years ago. The couple moved in together 10 months after their first date, and Adrienne says John got the chance to play dad to Adrienne's three children. However, Adrienne claims that her middle child, 9-year-old Alyssa, didn’t “care for John,” as she was a Daddy’s girl and upset about the divorce. Adrienne says that one day, Alyssa told her that John had molested her and walked out of the room. “I honestly didn’t know what to believe. Knowing John, I didn’t ever think that he was capable of it,” Adrienne says. “Once the cops showed up and started questioning me, I never asked Alyssa about it again. The cop told me that if I did not cooperate, they could take the kids away from me.” Kinsel was convicted and sentenced to life in prison without parole based on Alyssa’s court testimony.
