In 1993, Pat was a year old when his mother was injured. "It happened so fast... and just like that your life changes" says Teresa. "I went from walking and standing to being in a wheelchair while raising my kids." Teresa's advice to people in similar situations is, "Don't give up. Keep on going and take it one day at a time and you can live a happy life." Pat wants everyone to learn from his mom's situation. "Whatever disability you have there is hope. Everybody has the strength to continue on no matter what."
