Mom calls out daycare after it ‘lied’ about child safety protocols: ‘They are endangering your child’

A mother is wondering if she crossed the line when she asked her daycare to accommodate her daughter with the correct car seat.

She went on Reddit’s “Mommit” forum for advice. Her daughter is turning 4 next year and isn’t old enough to use the booster provided by the service. Now, the mom is wondering if a message she sent to the daycare was too harsh.

“Daughter turns 4 in February. They are transporting her to different buildings. I asked if they had carseats and they said yes but lied,” the mom wrote.

“I sent them this message. I feel bad because I don’t want to stress them out but I don’t like being lied to.”

The message explained that her daughter was being transported in a booster seat, while the law required the child be “at least 4 years of age and 40 pounds.” The mom asked that her daughter be given a car seat or that they not transport her until she is old enough.

“This is a much nicer message than I would have sent. They are endangering your child,” a user wrote.

“Report! Report! Report!! That is so dangerous, you’d never forgive yourself if something happened to her or another young child because of their negligence,” another said.

“I’d be furious if I was found out people I entrusted my kid to was not using the proper car seat,” someone commented.
