Mom Asks 11-Year-Old Son She Claims Is Schizophrenic To Tell Her What Medication He Needs

Michael adamantly disagrees with his ex-wife, Susan’s, claim that their 11-year-old son, Bodhi, who has been diagnosed with autism is also schizophrenic, like his older sister, Janni, who was diagnosed with childhood-onset schizophrenia at age 6.

Michael claims that Susan has been exploiting Bodhi for her own agenda by posting videos of him on YouTube, and claiming that she’s advocating for mental health.

Susan denies Michael’s claim. She’s accusing him of wanting both of their children institutionalized, which Michael categorically denies.

After reviewing three of the over 180 videos that Susan has posted online, Dr. Phil asks her to explain why she is asking her child to tell her whether he needs medication, and which kind.

“You just aren’t showing those YouTube videos, but that is on there, where he can declare exactly what he needs,” Susan replies.

“In my opinion, you are not competent to make a decision about what medications he needs, and when he needs them,” says Dr. Phil, adding, “And certainly, an 11-year-old child who is either schizophrenic or on the autism spectrum is not competent to make a decision about whether he needs Clozaril, Depakote, Thorazine – or anything else.”
